Hit And Run In Guelph – Red Fiat 500 Being Sought

On October 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., the Guelph Police responded to a collision at Glasgow Street North and Cork Street. A motor cycle and a Fiat 500 car were involved, however, the Fiat left the scene.

The driver of the motor cycle was transported to Guelph General Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

The car is described as a red Fiat 500 four door. It is believed it will have sustained little to no damage.

Break and enter

On October 21, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Gordon Street South business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a shed on the property sometime overnight and stole a tool.

Drive over 80 mg – arrest

On October 21, 2015 at 11:11 p.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Wellington Street West near Fife Road. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.

Michael Nixon, 40 years of Niagara Falls has been charged with drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on November 6, 2015.

Suspicious person call – arrest

On October 22, 2015 at 5:42 a.m., the Guelph Police responded to a call that two males were acting suspiciously in the parking lot of 7 Christopher Court. Police located the males nearby on Cole Road. One male fled from police while the second was subsequently arrested after it was discovered that he was breaching probation conditions.

A 32-year-old Wawa male has been charged with two counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on October 22, 2015.

Theft from cars

On October 21, 2015 the Guelph Police received two reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Queen Street and Emma Street.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
