Hit and Run collision in the area of Leikin Dr and Holitzner Way

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene of a hit and run collision in the area of Leikin Dr and Holitzner Way on Saturday August 08, 2015 in the morning hours.

A cyclist was struck by a vehicle on Leikin Dr in the area of Holitzner Way. The cyclist was an off duty Ottawa Police member. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Criminal charges are pending in relation to this incident and the suspect is being held for a show cause hearing. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
