Hit and Run

On Saturday the 25th of January 2014 at approximately 1:30 pm a fail to remain collision occurred at the intersection of 9th Street and 3rd Avenue East in the city of Owen Sound. A vehicle had just stopped on 9th Street East facing westbound at the lights, waiting to make a left turn. Another vehicle travelling northbound on 3rd Avenue East, upon reaching the intersection, attempted to make a right turn onto 9th Street East. The vehicle was travelling at a speed too fast for the road conditions, which were covered in snow, and slid into the side of the other vehicle, followed by veering off the roadway and knocking over a parking sign. It immediately fled the area.

The vehicle is described as a beige or silver mid to small SUV. The vehicle is expected to have front end damage.

The occupants in the vehicle sustained no significant injuries.
