(KINCARDINE, ON.) – On January 20, 2010 at 1:44 pm, the South Bruce OPP responded to a crash on Highway 9 in Greenock Township, just east of the hamlet of Riversdale. A Jeep Patriot was travelling westbound along Highway 9, when it crossed the centre line and struck an east bound Volvo transport truck.
Sadly, this crash resulted in the death of 47 year old Kevin Kenny of Markham, Ontario. The driver of the transport 54 year old Douglas Popp of Maryborough Township, Ontario wasn’t injured.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit was called in to assist with the investigation. This investigation is continuing; further information will be released as it becomes available.
