Heroin Overdose At Port Elgin Motel

On the 3rd of January 2016 Saugeen Shores Police attended to the All Season Motel in Port Elgin to a heroin overdose. The male was taken to hospital and later released. The female companion had falsely identified herself to police who later found out her identity and found she was wanted on warrants from Toronto Police Service and Waterloo Regional Police Service.

On the 8th of January 2016 at 1:25 am Saugeen Shores Police attended to the motel and observed the female and the male from the earlier occurrence leaving the motel. The female was arrested on the outstanding warrants and found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine, a prohibited weapon being a stun gun, a small amount of marihuana, a replica hand gun, and items used to traffic in narcotics.

The male was in possession of a switch blade knife a restricted weapon, as well as other knives concealed under his coat and in his pants, he also had a concealed knife strapped to his ankle.

The 35 year old female from Hamilton was held for a bail hearing in Walkerton on charges of

– Unauthorized possession of a weapon

– Carrying a concealed weapon times 2

– Possession of Marihuana

– Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking

– Possession of Methamphetamine

– Fail to Comply with Probation

The 29 year old male from North York was held for a bail hearing in Walkerton on charges of

– Unauthorized possession of a weapon

– Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition

– Fail to comply with Probation order times 2

– Carrying a concealed weapon times 2

Both will have a video bail hearing on Monday the 11th of January 2016 in Walkerton.

A search warrant was granted to search the motel room and both are facing more drug, weapon and probation charges.
