On December 30, 2015, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Cambridge. Two adult females and one adult male, all of Cambridge were arrested inside the residence. During the subsequent search, police seized quantities of heroin, crack cocaine, marihuana, cannabis resin, and psilocybin (magic mushrooms). Police also seized cash, a prohibited weapon, 3 replica handguns, and numerous items of suspected stolen property. The male and one of the females were remanded in custody pending the outcome of a show cause hearing. The second female was released unconditionally. Waterloo Regional Police are committed to working in partnership with the community to curtail illegal drugs and drug activity.
