Hero Citizens Attempt To Stop Hit-and-Run Drunk Driver In London – Pedestrian And Apartment Building Entrance Struck

On Saturday, December 10, 2016 at approximately 9:50 P.M. citizens observed a truck driving erratically at the intersection of Kipps Lane and Adelaide Street, then entering a parking lot just east of that location. The driver struck a pedestrian within the parking lot. Citizens attempted to stop the vehicle and called Police. The driver stopped only after striking the front entrance to an apartment building.

Several officers attended and the driver was arrested on scene.

The citizen who was struck was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Christopher POTTEN, 33 years of London is charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle cause bodily harm, Drive with more than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood, Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle and Assault.
