Herb Meulensteen – Drunk Driving – 90 Day Suspension

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) As part of regular R.I.D.E. programs which take place throughout the county, Perth County OPP officers stopped an SUV at the intersection of Road 165 and Line 87 north-west of Listowel, shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday August 25, 2012.

The officer, while talking to the driver of the SUV, detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage being emitted from his breath. The driver failed a roadside breath test and also failed Intoxilyzer breath tests at the Palmerston OPP Detachment.

Herb MEULENSTEEN (58) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel court on September 26, 2012, to answer to this charge. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
