St. Marys – The Perth District Health Unit is looking for two dogs involved in a biting incident in Stratford to complete an investigation. The incident took place on Thursday, April 17 by the Mac’s Convenience Store at 190 Queen Street East in St. Marys.
The dogs were fighting when a passerby attempted to separate them. One dog is described as a medium-sized black dog and the other is a small white dog.
The Health Unit is investigating this incident to check if the dogs have up-to-date rabies shots. If the dogs are not found, the person who was bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.
The Perth District Health Unit reminds people to always obtain the contact information of the owners of the animals involved in a biting incident.
