(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday February 03, 2013, shortly after 8 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle head-on collision on Hwy 23, north of Line 57.
Investigation indicated that a north bound Chevrolet automobile entered onto the south bound lane of Hwy 23. The driver of a Chevrolet SUV driving southbound on Hwy 23 observed the oncoming vehicle enter her lane and attempted to avoid the collision by edging her vehicle towards the west shoulder of the road. The vehicles collided in the south bound lane.
The driver of the Chevrolet automobile as well as the 3 occupants of the SUV, were transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital by Perth County Ambulance.
The19 year old male driver of the automobile a Grey Twp. resident sustained minor injuries. The 38 year old female driver of the SUV a Municipality of Blue Water resident was treated for minimal injuries. A 24 year old female passenger a resident of South Huron sustained minor injuries while a 12 year old female passenger from the Municipality of Blue Water received treatment for minimal injuries.
The 19 year old male driver has been charged with careless drivingâ€ÂÂ. It was snowing and there was loose snow on the road at the time of the collision. “
