Head On Collision On Hwy 26 Closed Road – One Airlifted

(MEAFORD, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a serious two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 26 east of Town of Meaford between a pick-up truck and a car.

The collision involved a (blue) Pick-up truck driven by a 56-year-old male and a (red) car driven by a 34-year-old female and an 8-year-old male passenger present. The collision was a head on collision. It is unknown at this time the direction of travel for each vehicle.

Police were assisted at the scene by Grey County Paramedics and Meaford Fire Department. OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are attending for the investigation.

The driver of the pick-up truck has been transported by air ambulance to hospital with life altering injuries. The driver of the car has life threatening injuries and the passenger sustained serious injuries, both were transported to hospital by ambulance.
