Head On Collision Near Listowel – Three Sent To Hospital

(PERTH EAST, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently on scene of a two-vehicle head-on crash that occurred east of Listowel earlier this afternoon (10Aug).

At approximately 2:30 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling on Perth Line 86 between Perth Road 140 and Perth Road 131 when he came across the crash scene. Perth County EMS and Listowel Fire Department also responded to the crash scene.

The initial investigation has determined the driver of an eastbound car on Highway 86 was in the process of passing a vehicle when her vehicle collided with another car that was travelling westbound on Highway 86.

Three people have been transported to hospital; two have sustained minor injuries and one has sustained life-threatening injuries.

Members from the West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team will be attending the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
