Harriston Man Arrested For Break And Enter

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On November 24, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to investigate a break-in to the Forest Creek Inn Motel, located along Hwy 23 north of Gowanstown.

Investigation revealed that the break-in occurred shortly before the noon hour on November 19, 2015. The main door to the outdoor laundry facility was forced open and entered. Some items were removed from inside and carried to a vehicle that had been parked out of sight behind the building.

Police gather evidence from the scene and were able to determine the type of vehicle that was used. Further investigation identified a suspect, and on Thursday December 03, 2015, a male was arrested.

55-year-old Alexander James EDGAR from Harriston has been charged with the criminal code offence of; “break, enter a place – and commit indictable offence”. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on December 21, 2015, where he will have to answer to this charge.
