Hanover Man Faces Arson, Assault, Threats and Mischief Charges

The Hanover Police Service has laid several Criminal Code charges in relation to a disturbancethat closed a section of 10th Street in the Town of Hanover.Richard WILLIAMS, 40, of Hanover has been charged with Arson Endangering Life, AssaultCausing Bodily Harm, Assault, Uttering Threats X3 and Mischief X2.Richard WILLIAMS was taken before a Justice of the Peace in Walkerton on April 15th, 2015where he was remanded into custody. His next appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21st,2015 in Walkerton Court.The Ontario Special Investigations Unit has invoked their mandate in this case and has taken thelead investigative role. Hanover Police Service is continuing their Criminal Code Investigation.The Hanover Police Service will not be releasing any further details.
