On the 17th of June 2016, the Barrie Police Street Crime Unit was conducting an investigation into drug trafficking within the City of Barrie. As a result of the investigation, a vehicle was stopped and the occupants were arrested. During this arrest, a loaded handgun and a quantity of Heroin and Cocaine were seized.

A 30 year old male from Etobicoke and a 33 year old male from Oshawa were arrested and held in custody for Bail Court Saturday morning.

The Street Crime Unit then executed a search warrant at a residence on Dove Crescent. This search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Heroin and Cocaine. Three occupants at the residence were arrested during the search.

A 28 year old female, a 38 year old male who were occupants of the residence are facing a number of drug charges. A 37 year old male who is resident of Barrie was also charge. The two males will be in Bail Court Saturday morning and the female was released with a court date.
