Guns and Gangs investigates incident of shots fired at a vehicle

(Ottawa) The Guns and Gangs Unit and DART (Direct Action Response Team) continue to investigate an incident on Bank Street last night north of Heron Road.

At approx 8:15pm, shots were fired at a vehicle from another vehicle with no injuries.

However, police have made several arrests in relation to the incident and charges are expected to be laid today.

The investigation included the execution of several search warrants on homes and vehicles in Ottawa.

“These are some significant developments in our ongoing investigation on street gangs in Ottawa,” said Acting Staff Sgt. Ken Bryden of the Guns and Gangs Unit. “The arrests accompany the seizure of two loaded handguns and drugs. Our investigators are always looking for links between shooting investigations and that work is ongoing now.”
