On Thursday, June 16, 2016 members of the Guns and Drugs Section (consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP), along with members of the OPP, attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of London Line and Mandaumin Road, east of Sarnia, Ontario . The vehicle failed to stop for officers and drove over two tire deflation devices before being found abandoned in Sarnia Ontario. The driver of the vehicle was located a short distance away.
Members of the Guns and Drugs Section subsequently executed a search warrant at an address on Wellington Street in London and the following items were seized as a result:
32 grams of methamphetamine $3200.00
1 gram of marihuana $10.00
1482 grams of marihuana shake $50.00
4 x 12 mg hydromorph contin $100.00
2 x 24 mg hydromorph contin $100.00
18 marihuana plants $180.00
7 marihuana clones $70.00

As a result of this investigation, Sean Thomson (25) of London is charged with the following offences:
Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in schedule I substance, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances act;
Two counts of possession of a schedule II substance , contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
Possession of schedule I substance, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
Production of a schedule II substance; contrary to section7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
Unauthorized possession of a firearm, contrary to section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada;
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada;
Careless storage of a firearm, contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada;
Possession of a prohibited firearm, contrary to section 95(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada; and
Two counts of possess firearm while prohibited/prohibited weapon, contrary to section 117.01 of the Criminal Code of Canada
The Ontario Provincial Police will be laying additional charges in relation to driving-related offences which occurred in their jurisdiction.
