Gun seized, 7 arrested and over 30 firearm charges laid

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service arrested seven (7) individuals last evening, seized one firearm and laid over 30 firearms offenses.

Police officers arrested three (3) individuals at a residence in the 1 to 100 block of Castlefrank Road and four (4) individuals in a vehicle near Arnprior. All arrests were made without incident.

Jodilyn Lynn CROZIER, 40 years old, of Ottawa, is charged with:

Behzad BEHRUZI, 29 years old, of Ottawa, is charged with:

Ahmed AHMED, 31 years old of Ottawa, is charged with:

Female Young Offender, 16 years old, of Ottawa, is charged with:

Unauthorized possession of a firearm x1

Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized x1

Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime x1

Female Young Offender, 17 years old of Ottawa, is charged with:

Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition x1

Unauthorized possession of a firearm x1

Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized x1

Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime x1

A search warrant was subsequently executed at the residence and one 12 gauge shotgun was located and seized. The seven individuals have been remanded into custody.
