- Impaired by drugs – arrest
On May 22, 2015 at 6:52 p.m., the Guelph Police were called to 125 Cole Road for a suspicious vehicle with a male asleep behind the wheel. Officers attended and located the vehicle and male. It was determined that he was impaired by drugs and he was arrested. Subsequent to his arrest a search discovered quantities of MDMA, Methamphetamine and Marihuana.
Shayne Scott, 23 years of Kitchener, has been charged with care and control of motor vehicle – impaired by drugs and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court on June 26, 2015.
2. Assault downtown – arrest
On May 22, 2015 at 11:51 p.m., the Guelph Police were flagged down by staff at a downtown establishment. It is alleged that they had just removed a male from the bar when he spit on one of the staff. The man was arrested by police at the scene.
Bradley Kinsman, 27 years of Guelph has been charged with assault. He will appear in court on June 30, 2015.
3. Drive over 80 mg – arrest
On May 23, 2015 at 2:08 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Commercial Street. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.
Karl Mittlestaed, 30 years of Guelph has been charged with drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on June 5, 2015.
4. Theft
On May 23, 2015 the Guelph Police went to a Westwood Road residence to investigate a theft. It is alleged that at approximately 9:30 a.m., two females asked the resident to use his bathroom. The resident allowed them to use the bathroom and they left shortly after, driven away in a pickup truck by a male driver. The resident then realized that a quantity of jewelry had been stolen.
