Damage to Property
On March 26, 2016 Police were called to a home in the north end of the city, where there was a report of property damage. The victim stated that he had several of his vehicle damages by two males wearing a disguise. The victim caught them in the act and, despite the disguises, knew the identity of one of the males. The victim called police right away but the suspects fled the scene.
On March 27, 2016 at 7:30pm, police located one of the suspects. A 24 year old Guelph male was arrested for mischief under $5000 and wearing a disguise. He was held for a bail hearing.
Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest
On March 26, 2016 at approximately 7:30pm Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop in the north end of the city. During the traffic stop, a passenger was spoken to and found to be in possession of drugs. The passenger, a 44 year old Guelph woman, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breach of probation. The accused was given a May 10, 2016 court date.
Robbery
On March 27, 2016 Guelph Police were notified of a robbery that had occurred in the south end. The victim stated a male, known to him, assaulted him and took his cell phone. As a result of this investigation, a 24 year old Guelph male was arrested and charged with robbery and two counts of breaching his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.
Break and enter
On March 27, 2016, at 5:28am during routine patrol, Guelph Police discovered a business on Municipal Street had been broken into. The culprit(s) entered sometime Friday or Saturday and stole cash.
