Guelph Police Press Releases – June 23, 2015

  1. On June 22, 2015 at 10:00 p.m., a male arrived at the Guelph Police Station via taxi. He failed to pay his fare and entered the station becoming disruptive by yelling, throwing a garbage can and spitting on the floor. He then exited the building kicking the glass front door causing it to shatter. The male was arrested.

    The 18-year-old Guelph male has been charged with transportation fraud, breach of probation and two counts of mischief to property under $5,000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 23, 2015.

    2. Cyclist injured

    On June 22, 2015 at 10:30 p.m., the Guelph Police investigated a vehicle/bicycle incident on Elmira Road near Speedvale Avenue. It is alleged that an unknown motor vehicle cut off a bicycle causing the cyclist to lose control and fall.

    The cyclist, a 37-year-old Guelph male, sustained several cuts and bruises and was treated at the scene.

    Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this event.
