On July 21, 2015 at 12:36 a.m., the Guelph Police went to 90 Carden Street to investigate the report of an assault. It is alleged that one man assaulted two men in the stairwell of the building. He struck one man in the head with a metal bar and punched the other man. The man struck in the head required medical attention for his injury.
Police located and arrested the responsible man at 4:40 a.m. at 90 Carden Street.
Robert Gaudette, 48 years of Guelph has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm, assault and weapons dangerous. He will appear in court on September 1, 2015.
Three vehicle collision
On July 20, 2015 at 4:55 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Woodlawn Road near Golfview Road for a collision. It is alleged that a silver Kia four door travelling east on Woodlawn near Golfview crossed into oncoming traffic striking a white Ford f150, then struck a green four door Toyota.
The driver of the Kia and the Toyota were transported to Guelph General Hospital with minor injuries. The three occupants of the Ford sustained no injuries.
The driver of the Kia, a 69-year-old Guelph male, has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Damage estimates to vehicles and property resulting from this collision is $15,000.
Break in – arrest
On July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Wyndham Street apartment for a 911 call. It is alleged that the building owner broke a window to gain entry to an apartment to confront the tenant. The building owner was arrested at the scene.
Giuseppe Descristofano, 49 years of Guelph has been charged with break and enter to commit mischief. He will appear in court on August 25, 2015.
Break and enter
On July 20, 2015 at 9:54 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a West Acres Drive residence for a break and enter. A male had entered a garage but was scared off when confronted by a neighbour. The male stole a tire air pump but left behind a red men’s bicycle.

Break and enter
On July 20, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Mutual Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight through an unlocked back door and stole a computer and camera.

Impaired driver arrested
On July 20, 2015 at 2:50 p.m., the Guelph Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in the Stone Road area. Police located the vehicle parked but running on Stone Road. Police spoke with the male in the driver’s seat and determined that he had been drinking alcohol and he was arrested.
Warren Effting, 30 years of Guelph has been charged with care and control impaired and care and control over 80 mg. He will appear in court on August 25, 2015.
