Break-Ins
At approximately 1:30am today, police were advised of an alarm that had gone off at a Woodlawn Road business. Police arrived and found that door hinges had been ground off to gain access and a quantity of cigarettes was taken. A police K9 unit responded and attempted to track the two unknown male suspects that were seen on video equipment, but could not locate them.

– A Wyndham Street business was the victim of an overnight break-in on January 25th where the unknown suspect(s) broke through the front window. A number of Play Station, X-Box and controllers for those gaming systems were taken.

– A Mountford Drive resident returned home on the afternoon of January 25th to see two men running away from his basement apartment. Once inside his apartment, he found that it had in fact been broken into and approximately $1350.00 of electronics had been taken.
The two males were described as approximately six-foot tall, 180 lbs and one was wearing a big puffy black jacket with a hood.

Foot pursuit nabs wanted person
On the afternoon of January 25th, an alert GPS officer saw a 37 year-old Guelph male riding a bike in the area of Inverness Drive that he knew was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to attend court. The wanted male jumped off his bike and attempted to flee on foot but was run down in a nearby back-yard and arrested. He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
