Wallet thief quickly located
Just after 8pm on March 23rd, a customer walked into at a Wyndham Street restaurant to order some food and after he received his order, he inadvertently left his wallet on a table. It took only a few minutes before he realized his mistake and returned to find that the wallet was already gone. Staff in the restaurant reported they had seen a male who had come in and picked up the wallet. A description of that male was provided and he was located a short while later in the downtown area but not before he had used the credit card to purchase cigarettes at a nearby convenience store. This same male had just been released earlier in the day after he was arrested for breaching the peace at a Grange Street business.

Lights and sirens were active and the vehicle finally stopped at the back of a Ferman Drive complex it had turned in to.
Investigation revealed that the driver was currently prohibited from driving for a previous criminal offence and a female passenger in the car was the owner of the car.
As a result of his actions Michael Lueddeku, 41 years of age from Guelph, was arrested and charged driving while disqualified, flight from police, obstruct police, identity fraud and a number of other provincial offences. He was later released to appear in court on May 9, 2017.
