Guelph Police Daily News Release – 23Feb2016

Theft from cars

On February 22, 2016 the Guelph Police received four reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were King Street, Wilsonview Avenue and two on Camm Crescent. Police also went to Summit Ridge on February 23 at 3:53 a.m. when a car owner caught a male trying to get into his vehicle. The male left the area on foot but was not located by police. No theft is reported in this incident.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. Road safety enforcement on February 22

In the area of Paisley Road at Hewitt Lane from 7:50 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. 16 tickets issued.

In the area of Willow Road at Rhonda Road from 8:15 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. 10 tickets issued.

Remember, unless otherwise posted, the speed limit on city streets is 50 km/hr.
