On March 21, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Pharmacy on Silvercreek Parkway North to investigate a fraud complaint. It is alleged that on March 12, 2016 a male had attended the Pharmacy and picked up medications for his mother who had passed away on March 10, 2016.
The male was located and arrested on March 21, 2016.
Jeremie Ladouceur, 29 years of Guelph has been charged with fraud under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court on April 26, 2016.
Impaired driver arrested
On March 21, 2016 at 3:27 p.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a possible impaired driver on Clair Road West. Within minutes, the male driver and vehicle were located parked in a private driveway on Blair Drive. The driver was spoken too, it was determined that he had been drinking alcohol and he was arrested.
Sivaramaling Sivasubramaniam, 55 years of Guelph has been charged with care and control impaired driving and care and control over 80mg. He will appear in court on April 8, 2016.
Theft from cars
On March 21, 2016 the Guelph Police received two reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Watson Parkway South and Cranberry Court.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. Road safety enforcement on March 21
In the area of Edinburgh Road at Wilsonview Avenue from 1:55 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. 1 ticket issued.
In the area of Speedvale Avenue at Knightswood Boulevard from 10:15 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. 4 tickets issued.
Remember, unless otherwise posted, the speed limit on city streets is 50 km/hr.
Police incidents in the past 24 hours
The Guelph Police were involved in 230 incidents in this time frame. Incidents involve everything from traffic stops and accidental 911 calls to domestics and break and enters.
