Theft from cars
On November 17, 2016, the Guelph Police received three reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Cadillac Drive, Ridgeway Avenue and Harvard Road.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. Break and enter
On November 17, 2016 at 11:48a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Gordon Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the storage area, cut the lock and stole a bicycle.

Break and enter
On November 17, 2016 at 10:29a.m., the Guelph Police received information that a break and enter had occurred at a Cork Street address. The culprit(s) entered the basement storage unit, and stole a bicycle.

On October 8th, 2016, the Guelph Police responded to an altercation in the lobby of a downtown apartment complex. Investigation led police to issue an arrest warrant for a 22 year old Guelph male for the following offences:
Weapons Dangerous, Assault with a Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Administer Noxious Thing and 2 counts of Breach of Probation.
On November 17th, 2016, the 22 year old accused party was located at a business on Eramosa Road and arrested on the strength of the warrant. As a result of the arrest the accused was further charged with:
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon X2, Breach of Probation X3, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
