The Guelph Police is appealing to anyone that may have witnessed a hit and run accident in the parking lot of 649 Scottsdale Drive at approximately 1:05pm on Wednesday November 16, 2016.
Investigation revealed that a 2016 Ford F150 pick-up truck struck the front end of a silver SUV that was parked in the lot. The pick-up truck sustained damage to the front passenger side, and fled the scene immediately southbound on Scottsdale Drive. The silver SUV sustained serious damage to the front end.
Witnesses on scene were able to record the license plate number of the pick-up and police learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen several days prior in another jurisdiction. At the time of the accident the pick-up truck was displaying Ontario license plate AN43020.

Guelph Police Investigate 5 early morning accidents.
On Wednesday, November 16th, 2016 between 7:10 am and 8:56 am, the Guelph Police investigated five traffic accidents at various intersections throughout the City of Guelph.
The Guelph police would like to remind drivers that winter driving habits should be observed even though we are experiencing unusually warmer November temperatures.
Autumn driving in Ontario can be tricky, so the Guelph Police would like to remind drivers:
Steer clear of wet leaves – wet leaves are very slippery and can present the same as icy roads
Watch for frost- always scrape frost from ALL your windows to increase visibility. Frost on roadways and sidewalks is very slippers so please adjust your driving speeds and stopping distances
Keep your car in good working order- plan for harsh weather and remember snow tires can help you arrive alive.
