Guelph Police Daily News Release – 14July2016

Break and enter

On July 13, 2016 at 8:40 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Dawson Road business to investigate a break and enter. A male climbed the fence to the yard, entered several vehicles and damaged the door to a shed to gain entry.

Theft from cars – arrest

On July 13, 2016 at 6:33 a.m., the Guelph Police were called to the area of Freshmeadow Way for a male going through cars. Police located the man lying on a driveway on Queensdale Crescent and he was arrested. The subsequent search discovered stolen property and a small quantity of Marihuana.

Brent Tansley, 33 years of London has been charged with possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. He will appear in court on August 12, 2016.

Art stolen

On July 13, 2016 at 9:37 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Douglas Street business for the report of a theft. A man stole a painting that is described as being a collage picture with bright colours and is 48ā€ x 48ā€ in size. The male is described as white, approximately 30 years old and wearing a baseball cap. He seemed to speak with a stutter and had a skateboard.

Road safety in Guelph

The Guelph Police have had a busy first half of the year trying to make Guelph Roads safer through enforcement.
