Guelph Police Daily News Release – 05Jan2016

On January 4, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Chancellors Way work site to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) cut pad locks of equipment boxes to gain entry sometime overnight. A theft of two power saws is reported.

Break and enter

On January 4, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Gordon Street business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a building on the property sometime overnight and stole 20-30 aluminum Volvo wheels.

On January 4, 2016, the Guelph Police went to an Auden Road residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime in the past three weeks. A theft of U.S. currency and a silver Rolex watch is reported.

Break and enter

On January 4, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Gordon Street apartment to investigate a break and enter. The landlord noticed the rear window had been broken and the pane removed. It is undetermined if a theft occurred at this time.

Theft from cars

On January 4, 2016 the Guelph Police received two reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Drew Street and Chesterton Lane.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
