On February 3, 2016 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Guelph Police investigated two shoplifting incidents downtown. A Macdonell Street business and a Carden Street business both reported a female stealing items from their stores.
She is described as white, 30-40 years of age, approximately 5’4” with a heavy build and dyed red hair in a ponytail. She was wearing gold shoes, grey jeans and a grey sweater. She was carrying a red purse and a polka dot bag.

The Guelph Polar Plunge live broadcast via Persicope
The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics takes place on Saturday February 6 from 1pm – 4pm at the University of Guelph Johnston Green.
The Guelph Police will be utilizing Periscope to broadcast live footage of the plunge to anyone who cannot make it out for this event. Look for the broadcast from 1pm – 1:30pm and watch Chief Jeff DeRuyter, Mayor Cam Guthrie, MP Lloyd Longfield, UofG vice president Daniel Atlin and many more take the plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics 2016 Spring Games. The broadcast will be titled Guelph Polar Plunge.
We will also be broadcasting on Persicope on Friday Feb 5 at 1:30 p.m. to show some of the Polar Plunge set up at the U of G. The broadcast will be titled Polar Plunge setup.
