At approximately 8am on May 1st, police were contacted by residents of a Woolwich Street building about a male who did not live in the building and was sleeping in the lounge area. Police arrived and investigation revealed that the man was breaching conditions of his probation and he was arrested. The male was searched and found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs believed to be crystal methamphetamine, MDMA, crack cocaine and marihuana. He was also in possession of documents that were not in his name.
The 27 year old Guelph man is charged with drug possession and trafficking, numerous possession of stolen property charges and numerous breach of probation and undertaking charges. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court.
Prescription fraud
On the morning of May 1st, a pharmacist at a Stone Road pharmacy had previously received an alert about suspected abuse and became suspicious when a man came in and tried to obtain prescription medication. The police were called and arrived at the pharmacy while the man was still there. Investigation lead to the man being arrested for uttering a forged document.
Valentin-Octavian Fodor, a 38 year old resident of Guelph was later released to appear in court on June 6, 2017.
Break and enters
At approximately 10pm on April 30th, unknown suspects broke into storage lockers at Woodlawn Road apartment building. There was video recording in the building that will be reviewed to determine what exactly was taken and who is responsible.

– A Burns Drive resident reported that sometime overnight on Sunday when it was very stormy, an unknown suspect(s) broke a rear window to get into her home. It is believed that the family dog scared off the suspect(s) before anything could be taken.

– Sometime during the daytime on May 1st, an unknown suspect(s) was able to gain entry to a Municipal Street home and take two I-Pads from inside.

– Sometime over the weekend Ottawa Crescent School was broken into and the library was heavily damaged. There were books and supplies taken by the unknown suspect(s).

– It was reported to police that sometime over the weekend, an unknown male forced the lock of an interior office door at a Wyndham Street building and made off with two new I –Mac computers and a camera.
