Grenade Discovered At Residence

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On Tuesday September 10, 2013 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a report that a grenade was located by a property owner at her residence in Guelph-Eramosa Township. The grenade was in a box and was believed to be World War. The property owner suspected her deceased relative kept it as a souvenir. The property was secured and bomb technicians from Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden attended and removed the device.

Wellington County OPP would like to remind the community, if an explosive device or any device that you are unsure of is discovered, to contact your local police to determine what it is and not to touch or move it.
