(WALKERTON, ON) – July 5th, 2012 at 1:30 pm has been selected for the grand opening ceremony of the new South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment located at #25 Bruce County Road 19 in the Municipality of Brockton.
Members of the general public and media personnel are invited to join the South Bruce OPP staff for this special event. Following the official opening ceremony, there will be tours of the new detachment and opportunities to see some of the specialized services and equipment that is available to our County.
South Bruce OPP Detachment Commander Inspector Chris Gilpin assures the public that the grand opening won’t affect police operations. “Members of the South Bruce OPP are welcome to attend the grand opening ceremony. However, residents can rest assured that any calls for service received during the grand opening ceremony will be dealt with by a police officer. I look forward to meeting and speaking with our guests at the grand opening of the new South Bruce OPP detachment.â€Â
