(WALKERTON, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to investigate acts of graffiti along the West River Trail and Rail Trail in Walkerton. Graffiti is any writing, drawing or symbols applied to any surface without the property owners’ permission. It is also a criminal offence that is punishable with jail time upon conviction.
First reported to police in July 2019, these acts of mischief distract staff from other Municipal projects.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
