(WALKERTON, ON) – On May 4, 2017 at 10:52 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate acts of graffiti found in Centennial Park. Officers arrived to find words and symbols on 2 out buildings and on the cement pad under the pavilion.
Graffiti is any writing, drawing or symbols applied to any surface without the consent of the property owner. It is also a crime called mischief that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
