(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On November 15, 2012 at 9:53am, County of Wellington OPP were conducting moving radar and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 7 in the Hamlet of Parker, in Mapleton Township. At this time and location, Constable Kevin Driscoll observed a 2004 Mazda travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 127 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.
Gordon Bryant, age 41 of Mapleton Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His drivers licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 16 2013 to answer to the charge.
