On Tuesday August 2, 2016 at 5:00 p.m., Police responded to a theft in progress at The Bay, 3050 Kingsway Drive, Kitchener. Two males had stolen numerous items and fled on foot. Police arrived in the area and observed the males run into a nearby apartment building on Wilson Avenue. Police arrested one male, and with the assistance of nearby neighbours, the other male was located hiding in a bush and was arrested. Two Young Offenders from London were arrested and released on a Promise to Appear. Charges included Theft Under $5000, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, escape lawful custody, breach probation, breach weapons prohibition order, possession of a prohibited weapon and Mischief. Police would like to thank the community members with their assistance.
