(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On August 25, 2012 at approximately 6:45 p.m. Huron OPP officers responded to a citizen complaint of a possible impaired driver operating a Chevrolet Cruze. After speaking with a witness, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and driver on Nelson Street in Exeter. The driver of the vehicle displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He later failed to provide a breath test as required by law. In addition, a check on his driver’s licence status revealed he was prohibited from driving from a previous conviction.
Geoffrey SANDERS, 39, from Exeter has been charged with Impaired Driving, Fail to Provide Breath Sample and Drive Disqualified. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on October 18, 2012.
