On March 4, 2017 at 1:30am , police stopped two males behind a commercial building on Edinburgh Road North. Police knew that one of the men had an outstanding arrest for failing to appear in court. That male fled on foot and police gave chase. When police lost sight of the male, the canine unit was called in to track the suspect.
Police Service Dog General was deployed and after a short track located the male hiding in a backyard on Bagot Street.
Dean Lizotte, 47 years of age was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
