(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 65 year old female with Theft Under $5,000 following a shoplifting occurrence that took place yesterday at the Zehrs Market grocery store located on Huron Road. Just after 3:00 p.m. police learned employees from Zehrs had detained a female after she was observed trying to steal cosmetics.
Police determined the female attempted to steal $68 worth of cosmetics. Police arrested the female shoplifter and released her from the scene on an appearance notice.
Gayle BROWNRIDGE, 65, from Central Huron has been charged with Theft Under $5,000 contrary to section 334 (b) Criminal Code. She has a court date scheduled for December 2, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
