At tonight’s council meeting, a Councillor asked for clarification on a motion, they said it was poorly worded. Deputy Dave Riach said he would have a word with his wife, as she apparently came up with the wording.
Pat Newson delivered her report to council, in which she stated there might be issues with naming the rest stop with “Little Peopleâ€Â, as that applies to a certain portion of the population. Council then voted unanimously to name the rest area between Wingham and Blyth, on London Road, that just got it’s port-a-potty installed, and barricades removed, Little People’s Memorial Park”.
