Furnace Stolen From Vacant Property

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the recent theft of an oil furnace from a commercial property located on Goderich Street in Auburn. A real estate agent had been showing the vacant listing when he discovered the theft on May 2, 2015.

Those responsible entered into the premise through a window and once inside they ventured into the basement where they located the furnace. They then disconnected the furnace from the duct work and proceeded to carry the heavy furnace upstairs and out through a side door.

The make and model of the oil furnace is unknown however it was described as a large, green, four to five year old furnace. The furnace is valued at approximately $5,000.

Police believe the break, enter and theft took place sometime between April 29, 2015 and May 2, 2015.
