To book an appointment, please call Marilyn Koch at the Palmerston OPP Detachment, 519-343-5770. Each seat inspection takes about 1/2 hour to complete. In order to properly evaluate if the child restraint is appropriate and properly installed, please bring the child using the seat as well.

Seat belt and child restraint systems have been proven to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries in a motor vehicle collision.

Effective December 1, 2006, in Ontario, every person travelling in a motor vehicle must wear a seat belt or use a child safety seat. The penalty for seat belt infractions is a fine between $60 and $500. Convicted offenders will receive two demerit points.
