In July 2013, the Guelph Police Service – Fraud unit began investigating two separate investigations; one was a fraud involving the purchase of house in Guelph. The second was a renovation fraud totalling $190,000. The same male suspect was involved in both occurrences.
These investigations led to Production Orders being obtained and executed supporting the allegation of fraud. On January 29, 2014 the male turned himself to be charged.
Stephen BALL, 57 years of Guelph has been charged with two counts of fraud over $5,000.00. He will appear in court on March 11, 2014.
