Four Drivers Charged – Using Handheld Communication Device – $155 Fine

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Sunday February 27, 2011 a Perth County OPP officer was observing traffic at the intersection on Hwy. 7/8 and Perth Road 107 in Shakespeare for less than two hours. During this time, four drivers were observed talking on cell phones or operating hand held communication devices. Each one of the drivers was served a ticket for “drive – hand held communication device”, which resulted in a $155 fine.
