The Owen Sound Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch has arrested and charged a former Owen Sound teacher with offences related to a former student.
Gene CASSIDY, 59 years of Owen Sound has been charged with:
Sexual Assault
Sexual Interference
Sexual Exploitation
Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
Cassidy is a retired teacher from the Owen Sound Collegiate and Vocational Institute. The charges stem from historic interactions with a former student of the school while he was employed there. Cassidy was arrested on April 23rd and held for a bail hearing on the same date.
