(TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – Charges of fraud have been laid by members of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit in connection to an investigation into the closing of a local business in Wiarton. The business known as Selena’s Total Fitness had been in operation since November of 2010. The Crime Unit became involved when members of the public complained they had paid for yearly memberships and the business closed with no warning or refunds.
The investigation has led to criminal charges of fraud being laid against the former owner Selena Grant. The matter is now before the courts. The Crime Unit requests any members of the public that were involved and may have any additional information in connection to this incident to contact them. The local number is 519-534-1323.
