On June 9, 2015, the Brantford Police Service arrested a man who was previously a volunteer with Boy Scouts in Brantford and a coach with the Brantford Church Hockey League. An investigation commenced after a male came forward reporting being sexually abused between 1977 and 1979.
Chesley (Chet) Edgar COWIE, 64 years of age, formerly of Brantford, is charged with the following offences;
Gross Indecency x 2
Indecent Assault on a Male x 2
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in court on a future day with an Officer-in-Charge Undertaking.
