(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Listowel are investigating two thefts that occurred during the month of August at the same downtown business.
On Monday August 08, 2016, the owner of the restaurant/bakery Life’s a Party, contacted police to report a theft from the business. Investigation revealed that sometime between 10 p.m. Friday August 5th and 6:30 a.m. Monday August 8th an unknown person(s) entered the building by means of a back door on the Elma St. W. side. A number of food items were stolen from freezer and refrigeration units inside the building. The stolen items included bags of chicken breasts, 2 hams, sliced roast beef, hamburgers, and pkgs. of cheese slices. From a second floor storage area, a Dell19” flat screen TV and a LENOVO Model M58 computer tower were stolen.
A second theft from the same premises occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday August 27th and 9 a.m. Sunday August 28th. A stainless steel pan containing a roast beef and a container filled with tart shells was taken from a refrigeration unit.
